Just an aside comment: As a Wiccan, I'm apparently not welcome in this country either. Bush said on a talk show recently that he thinks Wiccan should not legally be recognized as a religion. Wow... if I wasn't worried about getting in trouble, the things I would say.

The sad thing is that, at the moment, it's just a resolution. If it gets voted through... it sets a precedent for more aggresive and permanent legislation. I'm not only ashamed to live in Missouri right now, I'm ashamed to live in this country-which really effects me. This resolution is only a symptom of growing trend of religious and cultural intolerance all over the U.S. Once upon a time, I wasn't ashamed of going to another country and admitting I was an American. Now it's embarrassing. We're plummetting into a dark age and if people think I'm exaggerating... well maybe they should take off their blinders. Stop this bill people, tell our representatives how what you think. Go to:

I am so ashamed to live in Missouri. I have founf some of the most moronic, neanderthalic people here. And unfortunatly they breed. Being from Kansas I am not proud of that either but I will do everything I can to get this bill stopped.

And, of course, you realize the trap involved here. Somewhere, there's a Misery GOP planning strategist rubbing his hands together in glee of his coup.

If the Dems and ACLU fight it, he can point to the aledgedly ongoing "War Against Christianity" the Liberal Left is fighting. And if they don't fight it, their main constituency is so damn satisfied they'll be willing to sell their second-born daughters into slavery and contribute the money directly to the GOP.

It's a win/win for them and win/lose for us.
