If it gets voted through... it sets a precedent for more aggresive and permanent legislation. I'm not only ashamed to live in Missouri right now, I'm ashamed to live in this country-which really effects me. This resolution is only a symptom of growing trend of religious and cultural intolerance all over the U.S. Once upon a time, I wasn't ashamed of going to another country and admitting I was an American. Now it's embarrassing. We're plummetting into a dark age and if people think I'm exaggerating... well maybe they should take off their blinders. Somewhere, there's a Misery GOP planning strategist rubbing his hands together in glee of his coup. If the Dems and ACLU fight it, he can point to the aledgedly ongoing "War Against Christianity" the Liberal Left is fighting. And if they don't fight it, their main constituency is so damn satisfied they'll be willing to sell their second-born daughters into slavery and contribute the money directly to the GOP.
