I started back around 1977. I learned so much playing those games. You'd be surprised how we all researched medieval economics, demographics, architecture, law and military tactics. The last paragraph really hits on the difference between modern gaming and D&D. I spent thousands of hours playing the games he created. I started back around 1977.
