Our cat Tommy expresses his regret that Summer will be ending soon by claiming my flip-flops as his own.

On the bright side, it’s Rosh Hashanah this weekend! A happy and sweet New Year to all.

I was playing with the depth of field on this shot and am pretty happy with how it turned out.

Only thing I wish I could change is the pillow in the left corner, but if I’d moved it Tommy would have woken up.

It was a little windy out by the ocean today, but the sun was shining and all in all it was a great day to enjoy the weather (and some Mimosas) with friends.

Unlike Groundhog Day, Daylight Savings is a sure harbinger of spring. The weather’s getting nicer and this week I spotted the first new blossoms on a tree down the block.

I’ll miss the hour of sleep a bit, but it’s a worthwhile tradeoff for more daylight and the change of season.

Bear really loves to crash out on the MacBook Pro. Sadly, he also thinks the power cord is a playtoy.

Oh, yeah, and I have a new theme. I got tired of Mandigo losing its settings all the time.

Little things become interesting when you’re stuck in the traffic jam from hell. What’s neat is that this was shot with the stock lens on the D40 and automatic settings.

I’m getting curious to see what I can do once I know what I’m doing and have an extra lens or two to play with.

Not to sound like a total corporate shill but Photoshop CS4 is the utter shizz. Isn’t this neat? I dropped a few photos in, Photoshop did all the stitching. Took almost no time.

The boys love summer afternoons, because we get so much more direct sunlight in the living room this time of year.

Can’t believe it’s already August. Where is the time going?

Bear really loves flopping down on my laptop when I work. Endearing, but not when I am trying to get something done!

He might be expressing his opinion about how much work I’ve been doing lately…. fortunately I ended the week with a fairly empty in-box (for a change).

One of Tommy’s regular napping spots is on top of the couch cushions. Yesterday, Bear decided to join him up there.
