I finally got the photos from my trip home online. This one, taken at a small park near Riverhead, Long Island, didn’t turn out quite how I thought it would, but I like it anyway.
Posts Tagged “photo”As I tried to get my aunt’s dog Woolie to sit still for a photo, Dad successfully managed to fire off a shot of the both of us. I had no such luck. It’s been a very food-centric weekend, and I leave for NYC Tuesday morning. So instead of some technology ruminations, here’s a shot of a seagull I took behind the Ferry Building yesterday. Gimi’s a big boy (OK, I’ll admit it, he’s FAT), so he doesn’t do too well grooming himself. Still, it’s funny to watch him try. Rainy day, “fall really is here” edition. The days are noticeably shorter by now, and for once, the rainy season seems to be kicking in early. Nights are colder, and the cats are spending more time cuddling with us and each other. My employer launched a new product at midnight last night. As a result, I’ve been alternating between working furiously and sucking down quantities of coffee, as this photo illustrates. I’m beat. Gimi the Chair Thief: I may or may not do more blogging before Yom Kippur, so if I do not, I wish my fellow co-religionists an easy fast. May we all be sealed for a blessing in the book of Life.

Making Friends and Eating ChocolatePosted by: lux in Personal, tags: bird, chocolate, photo, sanfrancisco, scottScott and I headed up to San Francisco today to catch the Ghiradelli Square Chocolate Festival. We had a great time, and tasted a lot of yummy chocolate goodies. We also got to make the acquaintance of a very friendly bird (a Cockatoo, I think) who was visiting the festival with her keeper. She stepped right onto Scott’s good arm and allowed herself to be petted and photographed: Why cat blogging? Because they’re a much-needed dose of perspective when Ben Bernanke powers up the helicopters. |
