He loooooooooves the grownup dry food. It's adult weight control formula, so I try to keep him from eating too much of it.

Reminds me of my cat Toby as a ktten. The kittens stayed in their 'kitten room' until about 4 PM, when we let them out. Toby would rush to the adult cat food dish, jump in, and stand in the dish eating.
BTW, catfood consumption here went down by a third when I started moistening the dry food with water. Now I just put the dish out for 2 hours in the morning and night, another move that cut consumption without anyone getting any thinner.
