
They say Time heals all wounds. I suppose that's true; the pain 9/11 caused me is not as sharp as it used to be. But still, 9/11/01 was the worst day of my life.

Not for me. In 1972 Nixon's incoherent rage reached a climax with the bombing of Hanoi. We celebrated Christmas with the knowledge that B-52s were bombing the city and the dikes of the countryside (in the hopes of causing massive flooding and subsequent starvation for the Vietnamese). Among the targets destroyed was the main hospital in Hanoi.
I always kind of liked Christmas before that. I've never liked it since.
